Quick Tips For Studying When You Really Don’t Want To Study For Finals

Panic? Anxiety? Loss of motivation? Must be test time! It’s funny how hard your body physically and mentally fights taking tests in college.  You will have to fight distractions and might have to avoid your friends (what’s new 2020) , but in the end, we promise it will pay off. Here are some quick tips for getting some schoolwork and studying done.

 Schedule Study Time

voice alarm clock

Managing your time is sort of what all these tests are preparing you for in real life. We found this Voice Recording Talking Alarm Clock that you can use to set an alarm halfway through a study session that reminds you to “keep studying!” or an alarm that tells you when your “study session is complete!”

Organize Study Materials

Gather every note you have written/typed and put them in order. Once your notes are organized you can pick through and highlight what your professor is requiring you to know for the test. Buy your highlighters and flashcards in advance. They still make Trapper Keepers by the way!

Turn Off Your iphone/ipad/idon’t know

As soon as you hear a “ting” from a text message you lose all concentration.  Multitasking, while you are trying to study, is a terrible idea. Try to limit all distractions so you can focus and study actively and not passively. Living back at home and can’t escape the family noise? Try some noise-canceling headphones like these Bose Quiet Comfort Headphones.

Take Breaks

This doesn’t mean scroll on your phone nonstop. Take 10-minute breaks every hr to get up and stretch, go for a walk, or engage in a Yoga sesh on Youtube. BIGWORDS also has some good yoga books, found for less because we price compare everything, if you want to step away from screens for a bit and fully recharge.

K, hope we helped a little, now get to work!
